⚠️
RTI Online (Central Government)
rtionline.gov.in · source https://rtionline.gov.in/ · checked 2026-10-10

rtionline.gov.in covers only Central Government public authorities; it states that applications for public authorities under State Governments must not be filed there, and that applications filed for State bodies are returned without refund. SafaiSathi therefore never sends municipal or State RTI applications there.

What is deliberately not stated

No RTI fee amount (the Act says "such fee as may be prescribed" and amounts differ by State), no RTI portal for States other than Uttar Pradesh, no named officers, and no deadline other than the ones above. The 21-day CPGRAMS period is advice from DARPG, not a legal deadline for a municipality. Where something could not be verified from an official source, it was left out.
